National and international experts have emphasized the urgent need to strengthen academia–industry linkages in Pakistan, urging universities to consult industrial stakeholders when selecting research topics for PhD and Master’s programs and to ensure industry representation on academic boards and syndicates. They noted that Pakistan must now focus on producing a skilled and industry-ready workforce rather than simply awarding degrees. Various competitions, including poster, quiz, flyer and video contests, were held among students, and the winners received cash prizes and certificates.

SAU and Dalda Foundation Sign MoU to Expand Oil Palm Research and Development in Sindh. Sindh Agriculture University (SAU), Tandojam, and the Dalda Foundation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen and expand collaborative research on Oil Palm cultivation in Sindh - marking a significant step toward import substitution, agricultural innovation, and rural economic development. The MoU, signed at the SAU Senate Hall, aims to continue and scale up the successful Oil Palm Pilot Project previously launched. The project will be implemented at the Latif Farm Site (6 acres) in Tandojam, focusing on developing sustainable models for commercial-scale Oil Palm plantations in the coastal belt of Sindh.
Sindh Agriculture University (SAU), Tandojam, and Hoopo Inc. (Canada) have joined hands to establish a University Smart Carbon Management Task Force and implement agriculture, forestry, and nature-based carbon management solutions, with the vision of transforming rural areas into carbon-neutral model villages. National and international experts have warned that Pakistan’s soil health is deteriorating rapidly due to the excessive and unnecessary use of chemical fertilizers. They emphasized that regenerative agriculture, biodiversity restoration, and vermicomposting must be promoted to ensure fertile and sustainable land for future generations. University of Central Punjab Wins All Pakistan Inter-University Judo Championship at SAU. The University of Central Punjab, Lahore emerged victorious in the final of the All Pakistan Inter-University Judo (Men) Championship 2025-26, held at Sindh Agriculture University (SAU), Tandojam. The final saw a fierce competition, with the University of Lahore securing second place and Islamia University Bahawalpur finishing third. The winners and runner-up teams were awarded trophies and medals.
SAU to Conduct Entry Test for Undergraduate Admissions on November 23. Sindh Agriculture University (SAU) Tandojam will conduct the entry test for admissions on Sunday, November 23, for various undergraduate degree programs. The test will be held simultaneously at the Hyderabad, Umerkot, and Khairpur, and Quetta with over 5500 candidates expected to appear, including a significant number of female students.
